Rice Kolsch

5% ABV- Deep from the swamps of Louisiana, a rice emerges, begging to be brewed into a beer. We obliged and hit up our friend celebrity Chef Jay Ducote for a giant jambalaya pot to cook it all in. Because the rice is not malted, flaked, or rolled, that means that the starch in the grain is locked up tight and won't be able to be used as a source of sugar... unless of course you get a giant pot and cook it. So that is how we started our brew day. A few hours later, we were brewing with rice. In fact, 30% of this beer's sugar is derived from this Special Louisiana Rice. That makes this light lager-like ale an incredible easy drinking beer for all occassions.
